Meet the Artist

Philadelphia native IvbenTaqiy has been creating art for over three decades. His entrepreneurial spirit first emerged at age seven, when he illustrated his very first comic book. Ever since, he has pursued his dream of becoming a master artist with unwavering dedication.

He graduated at the top of his class from The Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts, and by 2003 was already receiving commissions for portraits and murals across the city. After high school, IvbenTaqiy continued his studies at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore.

Following his time at MICA, he launched a full-time career as a freelance artist. Over the past eight years, his work has drawn the attention of prominent figures and organizations—among them Meek Mill, Beyoncé, Mamba brand, Philadelphia Mural Arts, Levar Arrington, Jay-Z, and Kevin Hart.

His art spans a variety of mediums, from vibrant indoor and outdoor murals to commercial and private commissions for restaurants, recreational spaces, and homes. Notable showcases include Artexpo New York and the James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. One of his most recent achievements is painting for the Philadelphia Eagles, including murals featured in their stadium.

Proudly rooted in Philadelphia, IvbenTaqiy remains committed to using art as a vehicle for community engagement and growth. His work celebrates the city’s culture, identity, and resilience—one brushstroke at a time.
